| 1. Rational: |
| |
| 1.1 The Quinte Curling Club, a member owned club, utilizes a club duty program to develop a sense of ownership
and comradeship amongst its members. A secondary goal is to help keep the costs of membership and events affordable for everyone
in the community. All members are expected to participate in the organization and operation of the club.
In order to make this fair for all members, the following policy was developed. |
| |
| 2. Policy: |
| |
| 2.1 Members will volunteer a minimum of four hours yearly in any capacity which enhances the operation of
the club, including Board of Directors, leagues, bonspiels, club maintenance, bar, kitchen or any other activity approved by the appropriate director.
If this is not feasible the member must pay a fee set by Board of Directors in lieu of time commitment. |
| |
| 2.2 All members will give the club a cheque (dated for the end of the season) for a sum determined
by the Board of Directors with their membership dues. This cheque will be returned /destroyed when the club duty is completed or cashed at the
end of the season if a club duty has not been performed. |
